While metallics, champagne sparkles, jewel tones, and evergreen hues are right at home amidst the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, there's something about cheery red that practically screams “Let's watch a Hallmark movie and drink hot chocolate!” But if candy cane red feels a little too expected for you, may we present Selena Gomez's new “brickhouse” red as a stylish alternative that still feels festive?
After rocking a beautifully detailed jeweled manicure for Thanksgiving, Gomez and manicurist Tom Bachik changed things up and opted for a creamy red shade. But this isn't Santa suit red, which is what you'd expect to see from a holiday manicure. Instead, it's a brick red with the sliiiightest hint of dusty brown undertone for an earthier take on holiday nail color. According to Bachik, he used Aprés Gel Couleur polish in the shade Brickhouse, then added brilliant shine with his Click Colors topcoat in Super Clear. Gomez kept her nails short and styled the mani with a high ponytail, winged liner, and glowy skin. And is that her custom glam room Christmas tree we spy behind her?
